Graham Pearce

Managing Director

Graham established his law firm in 1981 having previously worked for Eversheds.

During an impressive career he has worked in most areas of the Law but now deals mainly with Charity Law, Business Law, Trusts, Probate and Tax Planning.

Graham was educated at Solihull’s Tudor Grange Grammar School and Keele University where he read Law and History. He is married to Diana and they have four grown up children. Graham was, for many years, a leader of The King’s Church Solihull and also served as a governor of Tudor Grange School.

In his spare time he indulges in his loves of Italy, painting and a new found passion for bread making!

Nicholas Thomas portrait

Nicholas Thomas


Nicholas is a Director of Pearcelegal and Head of the Family and Litigation Department. He joined the firm in 2009 as a Litigation Solicitor having previously worked for a specialist litigation firm since qualification.

Nicholas specialises in Divorce and Matrimonial Finances, having experience in acting in all types of cases from limited asset cases requiring succinct advice and action, up to multi-million pound cases requiring in depth analysis of company assets and pension provisions.

Nicholas also acts for a number of local businesses, providing general legal support in areas of debt collection, disputes and employment advice.

He is the man you need to “fight your corner”, be it contractual disputes, matrimonial and financial matters, employment, personal injury claims, disputes over Wills or whatever other situation where you may find yourself in dispute.

Nicholas was educated at Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School in Sutton Coldfield before studying Law at Liverpool University.

Having been a Scout himself, Nicholas is now a Scout Leader of a local troop which means he spends most of his spare time enjoying the great outdoors, camping and organising a myriad of challenging events.

Stephanie Howard

Solicitor (Litigation & Family Dept)

Stephanie is a qualified Solicitor working in the Litigation & Family Department. She deals with all aspects of family law such as matrimonial, financial and child contact disputes in addition to general litigation, contentious probate (disputes over Wills etc) and debt recovery.

Stephanie obtained her law degree and completed her post graduate training in Leicester and joined Pearcelegal in March 2014 where she completed her Training Contract.

In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys socialising and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys reading and relaxing holidays in the sun.

Lee McAuliffe

Solicitor (Litigation & Family Dept)

Lee qualified as a Solicitor in January 2017 and is a member of our Litigation & Family Department. Lee deals with all aspects of family law such as matrimonial, financial and child contact disputes in addition to general civil litigation.

Lee completed his Law degree in Nottingham in 2012 and joined Pearcelegal the following year as an Administrative Assistant before ‘working his way up’.

He counts sports and regularly watching the latest movie releases amongst his interests.

Hayley Palmer

Solicitor (Private Client)

Hayley is a qualified Solicitor in our Private Client department and joined Pearcelegal in March 2017 after many years’ experience with other local law firms. Hayley deals with Wills, Trusts and Probate.

Rachel Ison


Rachel is a qualified Solicitor in our Private Client department specialising in Wills, Trust and Probate.

Rachel joined Pearcelegal in 2016 as an Administrative Assistant and has since completed her Training Contract with the firm, qualifying as a Solicitor in May 2019.

Alison Bates

Conveyancing Executive (Conveyancing Dept)

Alison joined Pearcelegal in January 2015 as a Conveyancing Executive in our Property Department having worked in Birmingham City Centre firms for almost 14 years. Alison deals with a wide range of residential property transactions. 

In her personal time Alison enjoys socialising with friends and family.

Tony Lynch

Conveyancing Consultant

Tony joined the conveyancing team in 2019 and brings over 30 years of experience in residential conveyancing, working in the local area. 

Tony works closely with clients to ensure the conveyancing process is as straight forward and painless as possible.

Relationship Manager

Richard is the firm’s Relationship Manager, having previously worked for the firm in residential conveyancing. Richard calls upon his many years experience in the sector to ensure all elements of the service to clients is seamless.

A friendly face, he ensures operations run smoothly.

Elaine Cox portrait

Elaine Cox

Conveyancing Executive (Conveyancing Dept)

Elaine deals with a wide range of both commercial and residential property transactions. She has many years’ experience in the law, and was a welcome addition to Pearcelegal over 12 years ago.

Elaine has a degree in Biology and brings a rigorous scientific approach to the law. Outside of work, she enjoys walking and has an interest in geology, sometimes combining the two interests. Elaine loves tennis and can be found at SW19 every summer.

HR Manager

Denise is Pearcelegal’s longest serving employee, having joined the firm over 30 years ago, initially running the accounts department, then as Practice Manager.

Denise now oversees HR in the business.

She later trained to undertake legal work, which she took on with enthusiasm. In 2007, she resumed as Accounts Manager with personnel responsibility. She enjoys the happy working atmosphere in the office which lightens the load of serious work.

On a personal level, Denise is a Golf loving Gran who enjoys the gym as well! She enjoys reading, playing bridge and travelling, which she does a lot of, having family in South Africa and New Zealand.

Accounts Assistant (Accounts Dept)

Debbie joined the firm over 10 years ago in 2006 after spending many years’ gaining experience with other solicitor’s firms in Birmingham. She works in our Accounts and Administration Department, and deals with numbers and suppliers! She enjoys the day-to-day challenges the department offers.

Debbie was educated at Tudor Grange School and Solihull College gaining qualifications in Office Management and Secretarial skills. She is also a qualified beautician.

In her spare time, Debbie enjoys swimming, yoga and relaxing holidays in the sun. She also loves renovating her Victorian home at weekends.

Client Support (Accounts Dept)

Graham’s wife, Diana, has been a mainstay of the firm since its inception. With her legal secretarial background she provides administrative assistance for the firm and also support for those clients who need help running their day to day affairs at home.

To this end she has set up a separate business, associated with Pearcelegal, which specialises in giving assistance to the elderly.

Legal Assistant (Support Staff)

Mary joined Pearcelegal as a Legal Assistant in 2004 after many years’ experience with other local law firms. Mary has experience in working in the Private Client Department but for the last ten years has worked closely with Elaine in the Property Department.

Mary is a mother of three grown up children and has two grandchildren which take up a lot of her time! In the rest of her spare time, Mary enjoys going to concerts, swimming and reading.

Legal Assistant (Support Staff)

After more than 15 years of experience with other law firms, Tracey joined the Property Team at Pearcelegal over a 10 years ago where she still enjoys her role as a Legal Assistant.

Tracey is a full time working mom with a daughter who, despite being grown up, still takes up much of her spare time and money!

She is a lover of animals, except spiders, and enjoys watching films in the little spare time she has.

Legal Assistant (Support Staff)

After a number of years working for solicitors, Suzanne joined Pearcelegal in 2007 to work in the Litigation Department. However, in 2008, an opportunity arose to join the Private Client Department where she now enjoys her work as a Legal Assistant and the friendly environment at Pearcelegal.

When Suzanne isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the theatre, reading and has a real passion for Formula One motor racing.

Rebecca Evans

Legal Assistant (Support Staff)

Rebecca joined Pearcelegal as a Legal Assistant in the Property Department in January 2016, after having worked for a national law firm based in Northampton. She has a degree in Law which she gained from the University of Lincoln in 2011, and now enjoys the regular client contact that a role in residential conveyancing allows.

In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys keeping fit at the gym, going to concerts and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys travelling, especially to the USA, when she has the opportunity.

Emma Darlow

Legal Assistant (Support Staff)

Emma first became interested in law when working at the Solicitors Regulation Authority. After completing a Legal Secretaries Diploma in 2018 she is delighted to join the Pearcelegal team.

Outside of work, Emma regularly attends dance classes, performing in shows and events from time to time. She also enjoys cooking and experiencing new and exotic cuisines.

Laura joined the firm in November 2017 as our Receptionist. Laura job shares with Cindy.

Cindy Hopkins


Cindy covers reception and shares the role with Laura.  Cindy is the friendly face and voice of the firm and will ensure a warm welcome!

Julia is our Administration Assistant providing support to all departments and members of staff and ensuring the smooth running of the office.
